Following, creeping, whatever you want to call it ;)

HEY Sarah! I think it's so cool that we are reading the same book this quarter! I haven't read very far but I'm really really enjoying it! I agreee with your "blog" thoughts; that you enjoy it more than writing a paper. I don't really know what to critique you on because I think that your blog is really good except that there is a sentence in the last paragraph that is messed up. I look forward to reading your thoughts about the book and comparing them. :) love you

Hey Nina! I totally agree with you on the doing a blog rather than an essay! I also agree with you about the netbooks; they just make me angry sometimes! Haha. I love following you last quarter and seeing how your book turned out! I look forward to following you even more! It sounds like you know what you need to improve on and I'm sure that this quarter your blog will be even better! Can't wait to see more of your posts!

Hey Melinda! I would just like to say that I agree with you, I loved your animoto and I enjoy following your blog. :) You make the books you read sound interesting and make me want to check them out, even though I'm not a fan of reading. I find blogging to be better than writing a long paper and I think blogs are a little more interesting to read than an essay. I hope you enjoy blogging more this quarter because it sounds like you know what you need to work on and hopefully the outcome of that is a better grade! :) I can't wait to read more about this quarters blog!

Looking Back

I'm back! :) Missed me much? We just got our grades back from last quarters blog. Over all I did well. There are always things that we could improve on, some big, some not so big. I'll start from the begining and what I did well on.

On the first blog entry, "Who am I? what are we doing? And how are we doing it? :)", I did very well. I explained the book and who I am. Then explaing why we were doing the project. On the next blog post, "Pictures speak 1000 words", I think I did well because there are no notes to look at. I searched and found twenty pictures explaining my book and I described the connection they had with the book. The next post I'll reflect on is "Why this book and not another?". I did very well on this. It was more free and creative for us. We just had to tell why we like or dislike the book we chose. Last came the movie trailer. I took pictures that had more to do with the setting of the book and what the boy went through. The song I chose is a Christian song but it goes well with the theme of the book because the boy is Morman.

Now, onto the not so great parts of my blog. Again, I will start from the begining. The first two blogs were great. There were no notes of thing I could have fixed. The third post, "The song of the holocaust" was not so great. We needed to type two paragraphs describing the song we chose and I only typed one. I know that I was going to get points taken off and it was an easy fix but I didn't change it. "Blog comments" is next and I just needed to make my comments longer and give them more information on how to fix it. The last thing I could fix was "Twenty sites that offer and amazing book!". I need to explain the connections from the websites to the book better.

This quarter, I'm reading "What happened to Goodbye?" bye Sarah Dessen. I'm only about two-thirds through the book but so far, I love it! It's about this girl, Mclean, who lives with her father after her parents went through a bad divorce. Her dad moves around a lot so she is never in one town for more than a couple months. Her dad is a chef and was just transferred to Luna Blu. Luna Blu is just one of the restaurants that her dad is going to fix up. She changes her identity so no one really knows what happened in her past. She ends up making friends on her first day of school and of course, in a book about a teenage girl, there is always bound to be drama. I would really encourage you to read it! I love Sarah Dessen and in my opinion, this is one of her best!
